END OF PROJECT WORKSHOP AT THE CEST 2007 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

[2007-09-06] A special workshop of the Water Agenda project, titled "Water resources Management - Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC. Application and Public Participation in Anthemountas River Basin in Greece", took place on the 6th September 2007 within the framework of the 10th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology - CEST 2007, which was organized by Global Nest and the University of the Aegean.

The workshop constituted the last, within the project framework, public presentation of the final outcomes of project LIFE04/ENV/GR/000099 Water Agenda, following the day conference organized by EKPAA/NCESD in Athens, on the 24th November 2006 at the Helexpo Palace exhibition center, and the three public social dialogue fora that addressed the local audience. The workshop aimed to contribute to sustainable water management, emphasizing application of the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC and participation of the local society (Local Agenda 21) during the development and implementation of water resource management plans for a river basin.
